CTI Scholars Join LAPA for Lunch Discussion with Christoph Möllers

by Joshua Mauldin, Junior Research Fellow

The CTI research members were invited by the Program in Law and Public Affairs to participate in a lunch seminar with Christoph Möllers on Friday, October 10, 2014. Möllers (Faculty of Law, Humboldt University) is currently a visiting fellow in the Program in Law and Public Affairs at Princeton University. Möllers’ paper, “Limits of Differentation: On the Role of Religion in Democratic Constitutionalism,” was directly relevant to the current inquiry at CTI, as he developed a critique of prevailing conceptions of religious freedom and religious neutrality, while providing an alternative conception of religious autonomy for democratic societies.
