Fall International Symposium with Jeremy Waldron

As part of the 2014-2015 Inquiry on Law and Religious Freedom, CTI held its Fall Symposium with Professor Jeremy Waldron on September 25, 2014 in Luce Hall. Waldron, who teaches legal and political philosophy at New York University School of Law, presented a lecture on ‘Human Dignity and Our Relation to God.’ Robin Lovin, Director of Research at CTI, was the Respondent to the lecture, and Mary Ellen O’Connell, Senior Research Fellow at CTI, chaired the session. William Storrar, Director of the Center of Theological Inquiry, and Kim Scheppele, Director of the Program in Law and Public Affairs, Princeton University, welcomed the guests and distinguished visitors. The 2014-2015 Inquiry at CTI is the first one in cooperation with the Program in Law and Public Affairs at Princeton University. During the afternoon session responses to the topic were provided by a Panel consisting of Shaun Casey (US Department of State), Michael Kessler, (Berkley Center, Georgetown University), and Cathleen Kaveny (Boston College).
