SCIENTISTS IN CONVERSATION AT CTI - ASTROPHYSICIST ED TURNER

by Joshua Mauldin
Edwin L. Turner, who is Professor of Astrophysical Sciences at Princeton University, gave a presentation at CTI this spring entitled "Improbable Life: An Unappealing But Plausible Scenario for Life's Origin." Following his presentation he took part in a conversation on the Fresh Thinking Podcast, along with philosopher Susan Schneider and religious ethicist Robin Lovin. They discussed Turner's thesis on the probability of life, his views on interdisciplinary scholarship, and his earliest interest in astronomy.
